How to sing on stage
It made me
fulfilled
 "I was the shyest girl growing up...sang only in the shower but loved to sing....one day and opportunity knocked at my door...."
How I did it: A friend who sings professionally heard me and told me i needed to join a special group with her....praise team....in front of a thousand plus people....i freaked. i wanted this more than anything but i was so terrified of choking in front of people....this dear friend spent three weeks working with me to help me overcome my fear. the biggest most effective thing i learned was this.....your voice is your voice, it can do what it does in any circumstance if it can get past the mind.....incedently, our biggest enemy most the time. Lessons & tips: She then said somthing very powerful. God gave me my voice. So sing to Him, not the croud, forget the people, sing to Him, close your eyes and go there. This made sense to me. The first time on stage was not easy...but somewhere in the middle i lept into that place and i soared......three weeks later i did a solo. and people cried because they were so touched. especially those who knew what a fraidy cat i was. since that time i have come to even do recordings and be completly fine.......i am greatful for Teri who was patient and insigtful to work with me....and for God who gave me a love to sing to Him. |

How I did it: I`ve always loved singing, dancing and being in front of people. Although as I grew I became more nervous then exited to walk on a stage in front of at least.. 600 people.. I think. I auditioned 2 times, then and other time was with school. I always performed at the Corona Theater in Montreal. It was fun.(: Read how I did it…

im very afriad of singing in public and even in front of people. i dont know how i can overcome this fear. I think only my boyfriend has ever heard me sing and one of my friends and they say that i have an amazing voice, i think so too but its hard for me!

Never by myself, but I sang a duet with my friend a couple of times and everyone in the audience stood up for us when we were through. =] We were the only ones they did that for. I was so nervous the first time I was crying and shaking and said I couldn’t do it, when I was walking to the stage I probably looked like a raccoon, but when I started singing I just belted loose. I am so insecure and hate doing that so that was amazing for me.
I will never be able to sing alone on stage though.

...you don’t need to do it solo! and if you keep doing it then you will relax more and it gets more and more fun!

i have been told by every person i have ever sung too (all family) that i have a great voice, and i believe that too. i don’t want to waste my talent because i’ve been too shy to go and sing in front of people! but i just hate the thought of having to sing in front of many people! i even find it hard to start singing if my mum or a family member asks me to sing.
