How I did it: I got my tongue pierced when I was 20...I kept it in for 5 years. I got it pierced b/c at that time it was new and not many people had it done...its kind of cliche' now...at 13 girls get their navel pierced at 18 the tongue...its not original anymore... I enjoyed while I had it, I grew up and got rid of it...The healing time isn't bad...be careful where u place it...it can give you a lisp...I didnt have that issue but I know people who did

Hey everyone i, just updating everyone on my progress its been a month to date. and i love my tongue ring. It was quite a journey for me mainly because i panicked for the first two weeks about my tongue being swollen and my fear that it would swell till i couldnt breathe lol yeah i was being irrational. I got my bar changed last week and love it and its pretty much back to normal. This weekend i drank for the first time since having it and it didnt get irritated, and i have been eating like normal the whole and only bit the ring once which didnt even hurt lol. I so suggest this piercing just relax about it and oh if your piercer is close…i would take a trip there for there once a week for the first month lol thats what i did just to make sure everything was going ok.

Hm. Next paycheque. Boyfriend’s outta town for a bit and it would be a badass surprise. I’m gonna knock a couple goals off my list when he gets back too, but I won’t get into that here.
Now i just have to decide if I want it once or twice. Once is so…normal. If you’re gonna slut it up, why not slut it up all the way? Expensive though.
In either case, I’m getting it done this weekend.

i had my friend pierce my tongue witch wasnt exactly a good idea but she had done all her piercings and her sisters and many others. that night 3 of us got it done and it didnt hurt at all till the next morning. and i could eat everything i usually do i just had to cut it up. its only the 2 day and it really swollen but im taken care of it. i think it is deff worth it

I’ve wanted my tongue pierced since I was like, 12, so I’ve been waiting over 5 years for this shit! I was gonna wait until my 18th birthday, but I just got my paycheck and it was like $395! I worked hard for that money too! (I attend beauty school full time, 9-5, then I work 5:30-11; a 16 hour day). Im 17, 18 in two months. A girl in my cosmetology class loaned me her ID and I went and got it done Saturday night (5/16/09) as a reward to myself for all my hard work! It cost $50.
