Life Changes
Maybe one day I will own a home in Mexico, or someplace warm where I can go in the winter, but for now, there is no living there.
Mexico was a dream I had, for many years. Derek lived with his wife, I lived with my husband. I got divorced, and still believed that I could move there if I just had someone to back me.
Years later, and with Derek & I back together, and Mexico falling apart just as much as the US, it just doesn’t seem like something that I want to follow.
I’m still going to learn Spanish, it’s going on my list today, but Derek isn’t a lover of Mexico as I am, and with a lack of income, it’s just not right for us now.
Dreams are dreams, and life changes. If I would have moved when I wanted to, I’d never be where I am today, and I wouldn’t give that up for the world.

Here are the reasons I really want to move to Mexico:
1. Learn Spanish – I can speak a little Spanish but lets face it, I’m not fluent and I would like to be.
2. Business opportunity -Learning Spanish will open up many business opportunities that I would not otherwise have as a web developer.
3. Experience – I think it would be awesome and educational to experience a whole new culture and way of living.

I am too busy having a life right now to move out of the country entirely.

The best part of living in Mexico, or any other country, is telling all your friends that you live there. People ooohh and ahhh and comment on your bravery and sense of adventure. If you live somewhere on the beach they’re even more jealous. The reality of daily life though is that it’s inconvenient and often boring. If you thrive on culture and intellectual stimulation, you may find living in Mexico really boring. Still, everyone else will be impressed. ;)
