Is this even possible? 10 months ago

It seems like it’d be a great thing to do. I can find out what my real energy is like, and I think that I would somehow be more of my real self.

It seems very daunting. I love cake and ice cream! Even in sugar-free products, there’s some sugar “alternative.”

Nonetheless, I plan to do some more research, stock my pantries accordingly, and give it a go.

Hey Folks,

Managed a to tough out a heavy week, missed out sugar and caffine in my diet, had a lapse on Sunday, but so far, I have some weight loss and feel much better – and sleeping great!

Phew, I will keep up the tough work!!!!

Hey,

D-Day – 20th October 2008. I am about to embark on cutting out sugar from my diet. I am overweight, and pretty unhealthy, this is the first step of many, where I try and get my life in order!

I am not looking forward to this, but needs must! I will let you know how I cope!!!!!!!

By the way, any suggestions and advice would be appreciated!

i have been on a detox diet for three weeks and have been almost sugar free! i notice that when i put it back in, i have a “food coma” and get emotional. interesting!

the biggest thing i am having trouble staying away from is bread. and hot chocolate for some reason. still working on it. but my sugar belly is hardly fitting in my jeans, so i must change this soon!

Alright . . . 23 months ago

I have actually done pretty well the past few days. It really helps when we don’t have desserts in the house! (But I HAVE been very tempted to use the last remaining bag of chocolate chips to make some cookies . . . .)

Where to begin??? 1/15/08 23 months ago

This is so tough for me.
So very tough.
It feels like a lot.
And to what avail? Will it make me feel better?
Aside from the 25 pound weight loss, I did not notice a difference last year.
And yet, it makes good sense.
And i loved the weight loss (have put 14 back on!)
but weight loss has NEVER been enough motivation for me to make major changes in my eating.
So, I am making some good choices, but them making some bad ones too.

I have effectively achieved this. I still eat some sugar, but in comparison with what my diet has been my whole life, I practically eat like I have diabetes.

It only makes a person fat! 4 years ago

Although I’m far from fat, I once cut sugar out of my diet, and the weight just MELTED off! Unfortunately, at 5’8” and 125lbs, losing 5lbs made me look slightly sickly. However, I think as long as I lift weights and eat a lot of protein, I could make it work. Sugar just doesn’t serve any purpose, really.
