work on my portfolio

There is a contest to find a new logo for a program in town. I think I’ll give it a shot and that way at least I’ll have another piece for my portfolio.

I need to work on this. Anybody have any suggestions on what to include for a photography and graphic design portfolio?

I was going to post a question but I can’t seem to find the ask for advice link for this goal.

I studied Special education and rehabilitation..

My main computer got a virus and ate my 3D modeling program – now I’ve got a new computer though so I will have to get to working more on this :P

Work on the first book of my series – a prologue to The Necklace of Manajca – I want to create 3 game design documents 1. Fantasy game – need to update and add to The Secrets of Manajca or Dragons of War and Chaos … 2. Puzzle game – kind of like labyrinth meets fun quick puzzle game. 3. Never-ending MMORPG game ideas (originality).
My drawing goals include drawing the scenes I want to model, various character sketches – fairy model sheets, dragon caves, Alexis – model sheets depicting aging, Vampire Kiss Scene, Cartoon Aliens, and perspective drawings.

Some scenes I want to create in 3D Modeling programs….
1. Space Ship scene with a space ship, planet, alien, space station, and an astronaut.
2. Graveyard Scene with graves (lol – imagine that) tombs, dead plants, monsters (maybe only one) and broken fencing.
3. House interior scene with desk and chairs, computer system, sofa and coffee table – office type of assets.
4. Vehicle scene with helicopter (DONE) a semi, car1, train, 2-level bus, airplane, and car2.
5. Character scene with goblin, princess, reptillian monster, fairy, and wolfman.
6. Animal scene with wolf, dragon, tiger cat (fantasy), dogs/cats, scorpion, spider, possible lizard.
7. Seaside Landscape with water reflections, bungelow, palm trees, sunset.

Polygon counts will vary depending on the level of detail I will need to make things look good. I want to have a camera wrap around of each scene as well as several jps including wireframe shots. My goal is to work on the 3D Modeling aspect of my portfolio atleast 2 times a week – probably on my days off.

...and drawing books – need to get my crap together…no more moping, my life is what it is…a confusing mess right now but if I keep concentrating on IT then I’ll never get nothing else done. IT will all fall into place or it won’t….

Everything that I had done in college when I was in Florida was lost. I couldn’t check it at the airport when I left, and left it in the care of my boyfriend. He has no idea what happened to it. Awesome. A year and a half of work gone. Luckily it was all school assignments so I didn’t have much emotional attachment to the artwork in there.

Anyways, I’m pretty interested in being a tattoo artist, so I need to rebuild a good portfolio in order to get an apprenticeship.

I’d like to work first on sketching and painting more, then eventually starting up an online portfolio. Yays.

The last time I put together a portfolio it was just thrown together at the last minute. I would like to have one portfolio for my photography and one for my graphic design that are completed. I think this will also help me pinpoint what I need to work on and give me motivation to work on new projects.

Wow, I’m finally done with this! I’ve spent at least 30 hours of work on this friggin’ thing, but it was so worth it! It looks so good now! =D
