write some letters using my hand and a pen

Well 2008 was an ok year for letters, but I have been a bit lax this year. Time to get back into it I think.

I’ve gotten so out of touch with my best friend (who lives across the country in Cleveland) that I wonder if I should write her a letter, considering that we hardly ever seem to be free to talk at the same time. Before now I’ve figured that there would be no point in writing her a letter because we always talk on IMs, in this instantaneous modern world, but since we never seem to both be online… I don’t know. Maybe I’ll send her a letter with her Christmas gift, once I finish making it.

I won’t be able to see my relatives for Thanksgiving, so I really need to write some letters … especially to my ailing grandmother. ]:

Holiday season + being out of contact with family + a lot happening in life = LETTERS. :D

Still need to find my calligraphy pen. No idea where it is.

I want to send out some letters for Halloween. First, though, I’m going to dig out my old calligraphy pen, because dash it all, I’m going to make it pretty!

I wrote a letter to my Auntie, but it was at 2 in the morning and I was mostly asleep and I couldn’t find my pen, so I think I’ll redo it.

My only qualm is I have no one to write letters TO! I talk to all my friends and relatives over phone, email, and IM, so by the time a letter reached anyone anything I said would be seriously outdated…
I would get me a penpal, but I’m far too shy…
Sigh….

Well, the year started ok, but my letters have been tailing off.

I have, however, written some so I count this as achieved!

I’m going to keep this goal on for 2008, to see if I can improve more. How is everyone else doing?

I’m aiming to write a couple of letters every month.
Did ok for January, and have sent one so far this month (to someone I’ve been rubbish at keeping in touch with) and now need to work out who to write to next.

I like writing letters and I like receiving them even more.
