I did this one a lot and have no regrets. If anything, I wish I had drunk more while underage. If I had the money back I spent on booze, I’d probably waste it on more booze.
Back in the day, Idaho let you buy alcohol at 19, but the law changed. I think it had something to do with federal highway funds or some shit. Anyway, I got in under the deadline and living in northern Utah, made lots of trips to Preston.
As a teacher I now preach no smoking (started when I was 12 before quiting at 23) no drinking (again at 12) and no illegal drug use. The irony isn’t lost on me.
Sooner or later we all become responsible adults. Ain’t that a bitch.
