find people who understand me

the guys from my country that take the same classes as me at college are so annoying. they’re all from rich families, and don’t believe in god, love gossip and dissing others, and think that anything that’s got something to do with art/poetry/etc is gay, while all these are the things that i actually appreciate in life. there sure exist people that understand me but they’re miles away. so everyday in labs and tutorials, i need to put up with people that i have no understanding with. the worst bit is that i’m afraid i’m growing accustomed to them, and too accepting of their behaviour. i’m angry at myself for not standing up for my values, but I don’t want to be in conflict with people i see daily. what should i do.

I feel like no-one understands me… know the feeling?
I admit, I like different things from everyone, while all my classmates are into D+B and RNB and pop, I hate that music, I like Heavy Metal, Black, Death, Thrash, Goth Metal, and yes even Heavy Rock. People come to school, on non-uniform day, in tight jeans, a puffy coat and bright colours, whereas I wear black and crimson, Corset and Bustiers.

Everybody laughs at my stlye, I always take it in my stride, and laugh at all of them for all being the same. All the friends i have (about 10) are also goths and get the same treatment, I’d hate to be like “chavs” or “spides” they all have the same style, and are too predictable… BORING!!!
