It took almost six months. Onto the new testament which is a slightly easier read. I’m re-reading because.. I always read things twice haha. I’m not sure why. It really makes things sink in, I guess.

I finished my reading of the Bible by my goal date. I plan to do it again some time, but I have not set up a specific date for it yet. If you wonder how I did it, I had a 4X6 card with the date I planned to complete it which I looked at almost every day. I also had a list of readings where someone divided up the book into daily sized pieces. I noted the date when I completed each reading.
I completed the Old Testament before the end of 2007. I am now reading the New Testament. I plan to finish it before the end of March.
I slipped a little on my reading schedule. I hope to still finish by the end of the year, but I may be a little late. I set a goal to record chapters of the Bible onto MP3. It was a worthy goal, but I think it created a block in my mind and slowed down my reading. I want to get past that and not let my new goals wipe out or slow down my old goals.
I slipped up on my consecutive days, but I am still on target for finishing the Old Testament by the end of the year. Right now I am reading Deuteronomy, 2 Kings, and Psalms. Reading about all those idolatrous kings in 2 Kings was tiresome, but when I got to Hezekiah things got a little better. Wish me well!
I’ve read the Bible everyday for 67 consecutive days. This goal is going as well as any of my goals. I read about Solomon’s Temple recently. I don’t read the chapters sequentially. I have a check off sheet, and I read whatever fits my mood for the day. I think I can finish the Old Testmament by the end of the year, then I can read the New Testament early next year.
I have been doing this every day for 34 consecutive days. Today I read about David and Jonathan.
I’ve been reading a portion every day consecutively for the past 30 days. I read a portion of Psalms today and it was beautiful. Trust in the Lord and He will feed you. Wonderful! I need to stop worrying about things. I have always been fed up until now. Why not from now on?
I have been reading the Old Testament every day for 22 days now. I plan to finish by Mother’s Day next year. I’m a bit ahead of schedule. I just need to stick with my plan.
I have selected a reading assignment for five consecutive days now. Today I read 1 Samuel 1,2. There was the story about Hannah when she prayed for a son. I thought about my own barren state. Some day I will have a son too, if I pray as deeply as she did and if I am as committed as she was to give my son to the Lord.
