I really would like to join a synagogue (Specifically a Queer one). And even more specifically Congregation Beth Simchat Torah in New York. I’ve emailed two people already and really haven’t gotten any response as of yet. They even have a specific discounted price for college students which is awesome considering temples can be uber expensive.
I’m scared of going by myself. Traditionally and culturally I am a Jewish person but I’ve rarely been to temple so am not sure of all the things expected of me. I am hoping this week I can send out one more e-mail to this woman so I can officially join and if that doesn’t work out then give them a call.
