tryptofreezeArticles

I’m going after this research first. Most writings on THIS subject are not-so helpful for me, but I like these:

http://www.coachville.com/tl/thomasleonard/karla/formsCD/161keystotimemanagement.pdf

http://www.taylorintime.com/timeforadd/

http://www.stacksandstacks.com/blog/2009/05/07/the-ultimate-time-management-tool-for-adults-with-add/

http://www.faslink.org/adhdtips.htm

So, I’ve never actually been diagnosed with ADD, but I’ve been noticing for a while now that these are the only “time-management” articles that approach things in a way that makes any sense to me. In all other places, the articles on time management (and organization in general) seem to be written for people who already have pretty good handle on it. Sometimes I find it hard to believe that not everyone struggles with finding everything “of equal importance” but that’s something I’ve been struggling with, and they talk about it at length in these articles.

Anyway,
These are all excellent. Anyone else who needs help with time management might want to take a look. 10 months ago

tryptofreeze"On Time" / "Off Time"

So I have been able to make a prioritized list of the things I need/want to do in my life… but that definitely doesn’t stop me from doing the things that are low on the list. I really need to do things that are higher up the list but I wonder what motivates me to do them when the pressure is “off?” 10 months ago

tryptofreezePrioritizing Things

I wasn’t expecting to update soon, but I woke up this morning and I suddenly was able to create a (somewhat) prioritized list and differentiate between what I want or NEED to work on. This hasn’t been the case in a while so I’m very excited! So I now know what ranks DEAD last… which I couldn’t really figure out before. whew baby steps, I guess… :) 10 months ago

tryptofreezeWhere I'm starting from

I am in some trouble. I know this may sound like a relatively pretentious goal, but I really don’t have much of a handle on time management, so “improving” mine wouldn’t be too much of a stretch, but I’m not going to be satisfied with a little progress and just stop there. There are a lot of things I want to do and I have no idea how to get them done. I know that one of the problems I keep running into is that I can’t quite prioritize time—all tasks appear to be of equal importance, so I can’t choose which one to do first. I cannot decide whether it is more important in the immediacy to do homework (see “get through school”) or do work around the house. I know, somewhere in my mind that there is a difference, but I cannot pick between these and I lose time trying to decide. I understand that this might be a problem. I suppose the first step would be to get a handle on that particular issue. 10 months ago
