My bookshelves are overflowing! The number of books keeps growing, but the size of my apartment, sadly, does not.
So I need to get rid of some of these books! I want to get rid of enough such that there is only one book per book footprint spot on my shelf (instead of having to stack books on top of books and cram them into random crevices above the vertical books to try to get them to all fit) and to actually be able to see them all (currently I have books in FRONT of books, due to lack of space, such that I can’t see the books in the back).
I don’t care if I read these books, or just sell them, or give them away, or PaperbackSwap them (paperbackswap.com, awesome site) or what.
They just need to be gone. They don’t all need to be gone. I think I would like it if my shelves are mostly fully, but I always have about half a shelf’s space more for extra books. That’s my goal. Have about half a shelf’s space free.
