be a good writer

i really wanted to learn all bout writing, i mean a good writing, a writing where my thoughts will run smoothly to everyone’s head. an article that can affects lives, i know that I’m not really a good writer even in grammar construction but lately I’m trying to make one and understand proper English language better. before i just ignored my mentor in English because i got the feeling of a patriotism and a nationalism i often used our national language here in the philippines and i hated to talk in english and if someone express their selves in foriegn language they got a Ahole in their faces from me without knowing the great benefits of learning to communicate and write my thoughts through the universal language. now im digging up the basics and trying to express my thoughts through it..hope u understand me now. coz if u do than il make sure i’ll make a good one and try to imrpove myself to show to you what world im living in.

To write a good story, you really need to outline. Yes I know, “I don’t have to…” “It’s just a waist of my time…” Well you do have to if you want a good story, and it is not a waist of time. If you go on ahead with your story with ideas coming this way and that, it will ruin your story. I used to think it was a waist of time until I actually used an outline, and it worked out alot better. But I will tell you this, the worst thing about writing, is that you have to kill your children. Meaning that sometimes, though you don’t want to, you might have to cancel out a couple ideas you had in order to make it a better story. And always write a rough draf, edit thoroughly, write a couple more rough drafts editting every time so you can make your story as perfect as possible, then you should write your final draft.

One day I want to publish a motivational book, calling the public’s awareness of mental health in China, educating people that mental health, just like physical health, is nothing to be scared of or ashamed of. Where shall I start?

I get great pleasure from reading good material. I feel a pen is the only thing that can change minds and attitudes. I want to write so that I can make a difference in someones life, someone I don’t know, someone in need of hope. Is writing an inborn talent or is it achievable through hard work.I read a lot but when I start writing it gets so hard to come up with the right words. I really admire good writers.

Am I a good writer yet? I just want to know so that I can put ONE thing in my accomplishments… [sorry for the poem spam]

LINGER

She lingers in
the solace of her mind.
A book of judgment
lies open in her hand
as the epitome of youth
lusts on her face.

She lingers in
the silence of a cove
in the bay
as secret waves
crash around her.
She keeps to herself.

She lingers alone,
just a part of the scene.
She gathers up
the treasure of
verboten intimacies,
gifted to her
in confidence.

She lingers in
the spotlight of confidence
as the fallacies seep
into her, deeper
and deeper.
Untouched.

To be a good writer, I suppose you have to be able to move mountains with your words…so to speak.

I want to be able to pick the right words to have people know and understand EXACTLY what I’m trying to explain. Furthermore, I want to be able to evoke emotion and concern in my readers’ mind.

I really want to be good at writing. I would feel envious to those who writes really good. I couldn’t explain how they do it, their words of choice and how they put them together really amazes me.

I really don’t know the first thing about writing, my use of english is poor, my structure is confusing and most of my writing, while complex to digest, is interesting enough that people enjoy reading it. But I really want to be better at it.. A lot better..

I love writing and can only hope I’m good since I don’t let anyone read anything of what I have written=)
