I fasted one day per week for last year’s Ramadan and that was hard. I must admit it was easier than I thought it would be, but I didn’t feel like doing it every day. I am giving up, because I am not doing it this year either. 18 months ago

Missed the first day I didnt know :( , but fasted today :) It was not hard at all. the hard part I realised is not abstaining from food and drink but from angry and negitive thoughts. THAT, was a fight and very very tough and I failed misreably at this I think. God help me fast better tomorrow. help me conrol my thoughts and feelings. please. 3 years ago

I am hindu, but I want to try a ramadan fast. will it help me grow spritually?
all religions I know of hinduism, islam, christianity, judaism all advocate fasting hindus are suppose to fast every 15 days Ekadashi and next day is kind of a binge! ( I dont follow any of this tho! may be my grand mum did)
but I think, There must be something behind this.some .benifit.
( hidden agenda is weigth loss :-p) , but that is only secondary! I really want to experience fasting. 3 years ago
