moon bathe

I wanna lie on a beach on a blanket with the sea lapping up beside me under the bright…moonlight. Just seems different, everyone “sun bathes” and thats soooo last year – trouble is it’s too bloody cold to moon bathe here!!

I like this because as well as getting a gorgeous view of the stars there’s no risk of getting sun burnt. :)

I WANT TO SPRAWL OUT IN THE GRASSNAKEDUNDER THE MOON.

I’ll probably do it sometime at home, because I live out in the country… and that’s probably a lot more safe than doing it anywhere else…

I can’t wait though. It’s going to be great.. and it may become a habit.

i want to do it in the country – not in the city or the suburbs where there’s air pollution hindering you from getting the full experience.

Last night was really nice. My mom told me to wake her up around 1 to go look out at the meteor shower. So I did that. We took two blankets out and just layed in our lawn staring into the night sky.

I ended up seeing 25 shooting stars!

I’m happy to live out in the country, where the stars are actually visible—as opposed to the city, where the lights of the city take over.

It was really nice to just lay out there with my mom. I’m happy we have such a strong bond.

Tonight, August 12th, from 1 am to 3 am, central time (usa)... there is supposed to be a meteor shower… in the northeastern side of the sky. They are supposed to be tons of shooting stars! So, make sure you go out there and take a look. I’m planning on just laying out in the grass (maybe getting my parents out there, too) and just staring at the night sky for a few hours. :] It’s really quite exciting!

Before this summer began I told myself and others that I’d like to sleep in a tent several days once summer began. That hasn’t happened yet. My mom recently told me she would sleep in a tent with me one of these nights. That’s a start. I don’t think I have the guts to sleep out there on my own. I live in the country, and there are plenty of strange noises. Hopefully one day I will be able to sleep underneath the stars.. all by myself. Right now it’s a beautiful thought, but semi-scary at the same time.

I guess there’s an old hippie in all of us…I want to sleep under the stars, no hassles, no tents, just me and the universe.

Trouble is, British weather is hopeless and this one is harder to achieve than I thought when I put it on my list a year ago of 20 things to do before I’m 40.

Still waiting for the right night to give it a go…
