I am currently trying to transfer into a school in new york city
my list includes
1) NYU
2) Barnard
3) Marymount Manhattan
4) Fordham
5) Hunter
listed in preferential order. I’m currently trying to figure out who I am going to get academic recommendations from.
I know it depends on the college and your major but what do universities consider?
Your college and/or high school GPA? Extracurricular activities?
Ideally I’d like to transfer after the first semester but my college of choice(UF) doesn’t do that.

I got accepted! Thank God! Now all I have to do is decide whether to begin spring or fall semester.

Iowa is a good school, you can get a degree here, you can go on to get a job. But how the hell am I supposed to get into law school when I don’t know a single one of my professors? As a psychology student all of my classes are HUGE. I figured by my junior year classes would have gotten a bit smaller, but unfortunately this has not been the case. Now tell me, who is gong to write a recommendation for a student they don’t even know?
So what to do? I’ve applied to a different college in Ohio. The school is much smaller so I’ll actually be able to meet some of my profs, plus I’ll be able to intern with a law firm out there. Hopefully this will help my chances of getting accepted to law school…
I had decided what college I was going to go to, then I fell back in love with someone from my past. She was originally going to transfer to my college and then instead we were going to write for four years. I can’t be away from her for that long. So instead, after my first year, when I can get some scholarships I’m going to transfer to her.
