...need to prepare well, and trust in Go’d help! Please pray for me.

Last Thursday (and was too busy since to report) – I feel that I prepared well, yet, possibly because of general busyness and tiredness, the sermon was somewhat plain and boring :(

And, to add to my disappointment with myself, I preached longer than expected, and the next preacher has very little time left. I did apologise, yet I want to learn the lesson and not to make the mistake again.

I am preaching at my church for almost 5 years now, but… I feel that there is potential to improve the quality of my sermons, by preparing better, by reading the Scripture more, by studying some preaching textbooks and acquiring some new styles – to be used when appropriate for the topic.

So I really feel that I should hone my skills in this direction – relying on God’s help and obeying His will along the way.

My Dad has been a gospel preacher all of his life. Highly dedicated to the cause of teaching people Gods word. I think that as far as doing something really cool that this is very high on my list.. Plus I’d like to be able to tell jokes from the pullpit to make people smile inside. I’d like to lead people in singing, prayer, communion and the kind of fellowship that trancsends happiness. I wanna be like my Daddy, when I grow up.. :)

Above all, if I am obedient to God’s Word, I’m happy, because God is trustworthy and He loves me.
