Get passionate about a cause and spend time helping it, instead of just thinking about it.

Feminism, kids. It’s easy to fight for a cause once you find out what it is that makes you want to scream and scream and never stop. I love my movement.

There is so much need in the world. I would love to encourage those in need of help moving forward in their lives.

for volunteering!!! There is an animal shelter here in Doha, and after some time I will do some volunteer work there. I am looking forward to it! It’s nice to help on animals, even if it’s just a little contribution.

near our house (actually there are more, but this particular one is my favorite) and I am feeding him for a while. Now I left Doha for almost 6 months, but he is in good health, so I continued feeding him and hope to find him a loving home as well.

Last night, May 7th, 2008, I was nominated for the board of directors. The board voted and unanimously approved. I am now firmly involved in a cause that I am passionate about: our local community theater.

We have been volunteering time, ability, talents and money at the local community theater for about 5 years now. Over the past two or three years I have been invited to be on the board of directors. I have had no real urgent need to to be a part of the decision making process for the theater. But recently that has changed. Since we are so involved and have an interest in where the theater is going, perhaps it is time to become more actively involved in shaping the future of this organization. I will have a firm decision made by Saturday.
Additionally, my wife and I have also been asked to be on the board of directors for the local Shakespeare group. Personally, I think that this would be a great opportunity for my wife. We are still in talks about what our role would be and our commitment level outside of board meetings.
There is yet one other opportunity that has come up today. More will be posted as things develop.

More people can do more!

I have this goal for a while, but still I haven’t written any entry about it.
So, I have always feeled passionate about all animal related issues. Any form of animal cruelty deeply touches me. I know that I can’t save all the animals in the world, but what I can do is to make a difference in a few animals life, even just trying to find them a home, or bring them food etc. So at least I can make the life of a few animals better!
Right now I’m still in the thinking stage, but hopefully very soon I can do much more!
