Tastes like squid! no biggie here – just go to a restaurant and get them. kinda chewey, kinda meatey, kinda…snailey.

They have to be prepared correctly.. you can make them with garlic or bacon and really make them seem like something else. Still better than oysters (ew!) Actually, they’re somewhat like shrimp; someone should deep-fry them. Popcorn esgargots anyone?

One day, when I was 12 or 13 years old, my dad took us to a French restaurant and ordered some escargots. That made me remember the snails they used to eat when I was a little kid in France, and since I like to taste different food, I asked for some too, took a bite, and boy, they’re sooo, sooo tasty!
My advice: drag your ass into a fine French restaurant and ask for some of these things.

... you think of them as “escargot”. ;)
They’re a mollusk, just like clams and mussels. They’re served in a platter with a little holder for each snail, floating in garlic butter.
It’s like sushi though – only order this at a good restaurant. Don’t cheap out, it’s not worth it.
