Right now I can do 800 something words a minute juvenile fiction. I want to get up to at least 1,500 words a minute (in my opinion the start of real speedreading because beyound that you’ve got to give up sub-vocalization). What I really want to do is get to 10+ pages.
Thing is. . .having a “photographic” memory and speedreading are kinda connected. I’ll explain more later, for those who don’t know anything about either.
Thing is. . .speedreading is gradual. . .like learning a language I guess. And improving the memory to a “photographic” state will also take time.
It’s one thing to do something when you can do it all at once and that’s it-but when it’s over time-increment by increment as you process it and build upon it—it’s not easy. And it’s easy to give up.
But I’ve been interested/working off-and-on on speedreading for over a year. . .2 years. . .don’t really know how long. I Am Not Giving Up!
