complete NaNoWriMo one year

This is not the year.

Too much going on between preparing for school and my Athena’s business.

Well, have signed up to give this another bash this year. Will see how I get on!

NaNoWriMo is a lot of fun (and a lot of work!), and well worth the time and effort. I completed 51,000+ the first year I tried it. (Still need to edit it and finish the novel so it’s worth reading, but I did reach my goal!) Even if you don’t manage the entire 50,000 words, just making the attempt should give you quite a lot of story ideas/characters/etc. to work with the rest of the year.

For those making the attempt: The NaNo forums are very supportive, and there are also NaNo oriented LiveJournals for when you’re lagging in your word count.

I’ve changed this goal from completing this year to managing it one year as there is no way I’m going to do it this month. Life has taken over and writing time is next to nothing. Hope everyone else has more success than me!

Seem to have had hardly any time to write over the past week. My word count is way behind where it needs to be and I need to do some serious writing if I’m going to catch up. Should get off here really and get writing…!

Well, have made a start on this! Have worked out that over the 30 days I need to average 1666 words a day to get finished! Managed just over 2000 yesterday, so am pleased so far. Just have to keep going now.

Have just signed up to do this. Don’t know why! Have always fancied the idea of writing a novel, but whether starting it when 8 months pregnant is a good idea or not remains to be seen!
