appreciate the little things

you know, a crush can make me put on my rosy-colored glasses and take another look at the world.

Even if it’s one-sided, I really love feeling excited in the anticipation of seeing my crush and it gives me something to look forward to. I’d forgotten how nice that is.

...got a 96% on the nursing test I took on Wedesnday :) :) :)

First I found out that I needed a TI83 calculator for my math class. All I had was a TI30 and I was upset because the last thing I wanted to do was spend $130 on a calculator for an 8 week class. As it turned out my sister had a TI83 and needed a TI30… how perfect did that work out!!! :) Then this morning when I got to my nursing class one of my group mates had noticed on facebook that my birthday is this weekend and he brought me a happy birthday card! I couldn’t believe it!! It was so thoughtful and it came from someone I hardly know… I know it’s kinda weird since that info came from facebook and all… but it definitely made my day :) :) :)

My dad called me today that he got his driver’s license fully reinstated. Not only is this the first time I’ve talked to him in months, but this is probably the first time in 10 years that I’ve gotten a phone call from that wasn’t asking for money, or a ride somewhere, or with news of someone dying. I can definitely appreciate that :)

It had chocolate chips in it and smarties and I savoured every bite

My boss gave me a cookie yesterday and thanked me for my hardwork. It was a lemon cookie, and it was divine! I was appreciative of his gesture and token of his appreciation :D

I appreciate my quite time. Needed some ME time.

Came and introduced himself yesterday while I was weeding the front area, and offered to weed ‘em for me. I politely declined, but he politely insisted so I agreed to let him if he’d allow me to compensate him and his wife with my banana bread (that I was already making for the other nice neighbors who gave me all those bananas)!

Made a point to stop in and visit me at my job today! She called my co-worker to see if I was in, and told her not to tell me so I’d be surprised :D She brought me a white rose, and lots of food and… More bananas!! I was pleasantly surprised and it was great to chat with her; take a nice, long break ;D I love my MIL, she’s truly a pure, good woman.
