so i am trying to rid myself of the people who always seem to bring me down or make fun of me. i am trying to live my life in a mature manner and these people whom i usually associate with seem to be living off their parents money and partying.
first step:
hang out in places i like to be: community kitchen, coffee shops, outside swing, or the rec center.
second step:
make conversation.
why does this feel like dating? oh well ;)

with expectations. They ruined lots of things for me. It screwed up my relationship untill I saw that I needed to stop.
You can’t expect more from someone then what they’ve already done. Don’t put pressure on people.
Don’t give anyone a reason to stab you in the back, then you’ll find someone who’ll be a great friend.
Don’t expect to find more than three people in this catagory. They are few and far between.
I’m spouting random thoughts, so sorry for the lack of flow here…

I think that at some point, everyone will let you down, depending on what you expect of them. If you have too high expectations of people, you will be disappointed. In extreme situations, it comes to a point, when we have to make priorities, and most of us have to put our own needs first and let our friends down. But the more far away this line is, the better of a friend that one is.

In fact, only a few can. They are the best people I’ve ever met and I’m so lucky to have them in my life.

A very unpleasant phone call just reminded me to pay more attention to this goal. :(
I think I’m going to go now and “digest” this phone call a little bit. The day was just fine until now.

really surprise me sometimes, at how thoughtful and caring they can be. I learn to be a better friend from them.

Good friends make my life better just by existing. They don’t need to do anything else.

I just talked over the phone with a friend I can include in this category. :) Good to hear her voice and be able to tell her how much she means to me. She can’t let me down because I like her the way she is.
