Still no further on with this one 4 months ago

My scrapbook is still sat forlornly in my cupboard having not had any further progress made on it recently. It’s our third wedding anniversary this year so I’d better get my skates on and at least do a page or so to keep my eye in!

Having said that, I did manage to complete the one I did for my sister for her 21st birthday – it was two years late but she cried when I gave it to her, which made it all worthwhile!

I promised my mum one for her 50th, which was in February but I haven’t managed to get that one started yet, except buying the actual scrapbook!

If you still have the cards that were given to you at your wedding- I recommend that you use them for ribbons, photo backgrounds, and other embellishments. It’s a great cheap way to make the book that much more personal. I’ve been working on a page at time for a while. Usually, I’ll only get about 2-3 pages done when I sit down and work on it for a few hours, but the pages I plan look the best—and this is to remember for the rest of my life. I only have 2 more pages, but I’m waiting for the right spark of inspiration. I wish all of you inspiration!

I've been married one week and one day.... 18 months ago

...and I’m already anxious to (start and) finish this because, knowing myself, if I don’t hammer out this project ASAP, it’ll never get done. Being that it was a recent event, I still have everything out and somewhat organized.

almost 3 yrs later... 19 months ago

And I only have the first page done. :P We have one son, and another on the way… and of course, scrapping for them and my new neice (1 month old) is first on my mind, which it shouldn’t be!!!

Why is it so hard to do something for myself?????

    LOL

Oh dear - not doing too well! 2 years ago

It’s now just over a year since we got married and our wedding scrapbook starts with the proposal
(actually it starts with the two false proposal scenarios!). So far I have only done 3 pages and we have a baby arriving in January! How I’m ever going to get around to doing the baby scrapbook I don’t know.

I am going on maternity leave 4 weeks before the baby is due so I’m hoping I will get the wedding scrapbook finished then – I won’t be up to much activity and I think that will just about fit the bill!

I also need to finish my sister’s mini scrapbook – that only needs another 5 pages to finish it.

Before the baby... 2 years ago

I would like to make some good headway on my Wedding scrapbook before my baby comes in August. I will feel like a weight is lifted…

    Yay Photoshop! 2 years ago

So, it’s been two years since I got married and I still haven’t done my wedding scrapbook. I guess that’s not a huge surprise considering I’m not much of a scrapbook-er, but I still want to get it done. Part of my problem was that I didn’t like most of my wedding pictures.

Finally, I just sat down and went through the photo album my photographer gave me and pulled out the best pictures. It wasn’t until then that I realized there are actually a LOT of good shots. Reality is he took a TON of pictures and I was only looking at all of the bad ones instead of the really good ones.

On that note, Hubby bought me Photoshop Elements over a week ago (anniversary gift, believe it or not) and I love it! There are a couple of pics I liked but there were some flaws to them. One of them was so cute but the lighting was bad and turned the pic yellow. Photoshop fixed it in two clicks! Much, much better.

So, I’ve now got the pictures I want and I’ve layed them out on the pages in the order and groupings on want them. Now I’ve got to take it one page at a time and try to make it look presentable. (Take a deep breath. . . )

Too bad the pictures weren't better 2 years ago

If I ever get married again, I am NOT skimping on the photographer! The photos weren’t what I wanted, which I think is why I’ve procrastinated on this. I want to have this done by my 5th anniversary in September.

Mine is not my photo album, but a scrap book of all my planning materials... 2 years ago

I have a HUGE paper bag of items from the wedding planning, which was 3.5 years ago. I can’t bear to throw them away. However, I have made a deal with myself that if I don’t have them all in the scrapbook by the end of 2007, they are going in the trash! That is motivating me a bit. I worked on a couple of pages last week and I ordered a few more page protectors, so I have enough to finish the book. I am looking forward to having it done and have the space and eyesore cleared up under my desk when the huge bag is gone!

    Good luck everyone!

Do photo album, hang pics, be done with it 2 years ago

I’m never going to finish it. I just need to give up. I need to put the pictures in album, frame our enlargements, and move on!!
