What time would be better to travel than now?

I’m in my teens, old enough to appreciate every aspect of an exciting new adventure, able to be away from home for long periods of time, I don’t have children, and I don’t have a job I would need to leave.

It’s pefect.
It must be done.

2 plus 2 is just like this goal , happy to meet so many people with the same dream here..
i willl do my best on mathematics… for this dream.. coz my english is almost ok now…!

I was an exchange student to Japan with EIL in my third year of high school. I experienced a world beyond my own, and had, to say the least, the time of my life, returning several times. My last trip lasted 25 years.

Yay as! I recieved a phone call last night to tell me that my application had been successful and I’m going to the UK for exchange! It’s a short 3 week inter-service Army Cadet thing, doing awesome bush-bashing and fun challenging stuff, as I understand. AWESOME AS. Goodluck to all you other exchange hopefuls! There is success out there ;D

actually, my first choice is japan and second is hong kong, also. i really wanted to go this coming year, but because you need a 3.0 cumulative gpa, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen :/ so i’ll probably go halfway through next year.
and i want to apply to both AFS and rotary.
straight a’s until january 2010 :]

Okay, so it turned out the deadline for applications was moved forward a few weeks. But I came through and did an application I’m proud of, and I’ve posted it away. I’ve got Norway, UK and then Germany as my Top 3.

I’ve got a few weeks to wait now while it goes through various selection panels and they cull down the numbers to the final people that will get to go – all hope is pinned on that I won’t be one of those weeded out.

I passed all of the exams. Now I only have to fill in the forms as well as I can and make it presentable so that a family chooses me to stay with them.

This is a HUGE dream of mine. Not many programs offer it from Ireland though =(
