spend the night in Waverly

I have a tentative plan to take our vacation August 4-12 this year. It would be great to go to Waverly on the 4th and do a 4 hour overnight. This would give us the next day to sleep in and then start our vacation. I will give them a call sometime this week and try to arrange our tour for then. I figure this far in advance it shouldn’t be too hard to get that date. DH even said OK.

I’ve been trying to talk DH into doing this for our anniversary next January. I found out that it’s $50/person for a 4 hour overnight. That is less than we ususally spend on our anniversary. He says he really isn’t into it though. I guess I’ll have to work on him.

Waverly Hills is an old abandoned sanitorium in Louisville. Back in the day, thousands of TB patients suffered and died there. These days they give tours to help fund renovations on this historical site. I have never been there, but it is said to be haunted. I would love to take one of their tours where you are able to spend the night. I have heard that these are very expensive. I can’t afford anything ver expensive right now.
