I’ve always been really small and I guess it runs in my bilogical family. My birth mother is smaller then I am. I’m 5’0 and way 102, to me thats really skinny and I feel as if I gain 15 lbs I won’t look as young and I’ll fill out more. I’m 18 years old and I’ve been mistaken for 11 because of my size

MamaFlutterby is STILL moving. Almost done, though!

I’ve always been thin by nature, and it’s so hard to hear people talk about how “real women have curves” and all that bull. This year I’ve actually put on quite a bit of weight, most of it in a really healthy way. Granted, I am having trouble getting used to my new shape on some levels, but I feel so much stronger and healthier. It took a lot of work, but I’m glad I did it. I still hate hearing all that “real women have curves, you’re too skinny, blah blah blah” crap, but I actually hear it less now.

...keep track of my weight on a daily basis. So I’m happy to report I’m floating upwards of 172-3.

I’ve been sick, so I may have lost a bit of weight over the last couple of days, but it looks like I could meet this goal very soon.

My serious lack of appetite has me contemplating getting a protein suppliment.

If only there was an exercise suppliment too. :(

Need to gain 17 pounds 8 months ago

My current goal is to get to 140 pounds by mid-June 2008 in muscle, and I weigh 136 right now (I started at 130 on March 10th). I want to weigh 150 pounds in muscle by mid-September 2008 in muscle after I reach my goal of 140 in mid-June. I’m 14 years old and 5’9’’ (my BMI is 19.6 which is ideal for a 14-year-old).

164 as of yesterday. Not a bad start, but lately I haven’t had much appetite.

First Weigh-In 8 months ago

More eggs today, along with two card-decks of Salmon, and 40 or so pushups. I’d’ve done more working out, but I’m just exhausted today.

My first weigh-in will come this wednesday when I go to the YMCA to play floor hockey. I’m using 160 as a start point, and hope to reach 175 by the time the Jays are out of the playoff picture. How’s that for urgency?

C'mon Skinny Love 8 months ago

Since grade 11, I’ve been hovering within a few pounds of 160. Spread over a 6’3 frame, this makes for a pretty thin body type. I didn’t mind so much in high school or college, I actually kind of revelled in it. It’s been a few years from college though, and as I mature, and I use that word gently, I feel I could use some meat on my shoulders.

So begins my quest. I’ve been getting more protein into my diet and trying to work out lately, both of which are pretty foreign to me. The workouts have mostly consisted of push-ups, while the diet has had a bit more variation. I can’t think of a type of protein that I haven’t been eating lately, but eggs have been the staple. They’re too easy, too quick, and too delicious.

Gain weight 11 months ago

I have always been uncomfortable with my weight. Constantly magazines rip apart how smaller girls look “sickly” and “unhealthy” and “anorexic.” Unfortunately my size is hereditary, but I really would like to put on more weight.

5 pounds!!! 1 year ago

I think this is going to work. I have gained 5 pounds, thanks to my quit smoking goal my metabolism has slowed down and I replace smoking with food. It’s like killing two birds with one stone. I already notice a slight difference in my apperance, not much, but it’s a start and with all the holidays coming up I should have no problem putting on the last 10 lbs., maybe more.
