After years of various sports and activities, I cannot even completely run a mile. I got a desk job 2 years ago and a have watched the weight pack on. OOHh I’m over it. I’d like to get back to being able to run a 9 minute mile and not huff & puff when I walk up the stairs.

My fastest in hs was 6:18 and 2 kids and 15 years later, I have a treadmill! Last week, I was at a 15 minute mile and this morning I did it in 9:53 and it was so hard! Considering my past week’s progress, I’m on my way. I just want to hit a 6 minute mile once, and then I’ll be happy.. :) I’ve got my work cut out!
Ran a 3k this morning in 16 minutes, 45 seconds, which in my calculations came out to exactly 9 minutes/mile!
started with about 11:20 in september, took a two week break in december, and my first run was 8:45! the fastest time before that was about 9:10.
Melissa B. is a "Newness-seeking Self-improving Tree Hugger" . . . or is she? :)
Today, I ran one mile just under 9 minutes. I don’t think I’ll be going for the 8 minute mile goal for a while.
I did the manchester 10k in 1:1:04 – much quicker than I was anticipating.
That’s 9.49 not yet where I want to be, but the right side of a 10 minute mile :-)
