I love massaging my baby and he loves it, too. He knows what is coming when I lay him down on the bed on a towel and take his clothes off.

Olive oil makes a good body oil. Everything else just has too many freaky chemicals in it, even if they smell nice.

I start at Shawn’s feet and work up, turning him onto his tummy to rub his back. Not only is it nice to do for him, but it’s enjoyable bonding time, too.

My boyfriend gives fabulous massages. It was actually the first sort of physical contact we ever had at all – a massage. It was incredibly stimulating. Now I ask for them whenever I’m feeling genuinely stressed…they’re a great help and always relax me. I wish I could draw out the same sort of reaction from him, but my massages so far have all fallen flat. I feel like this is a theme in our physical relationship: he is such a giver, while I just take and take.

I want to give him the same experience that I enjoy. He says I don’t use enough pressure, but there are times when I feel like I can’t press any harder than I already am. I don’t know if I need to become physically stronger or if I’m just using the wrong technique, but I will look into it. When I give him a massage that truly does the job, then this goal will be complete.

I took a class. It was fun, and weird because you have to practice on each other. So, you are also on the receiving end. On occasion, you might receive a partner that you are not so comfortable with. Other than that it was cool though.

I have a little book on the subject. Now all I have to do is read it… and practice!

I took a massage class that they were offering at the gym and learned so many different strokes and got so much practice…

my friends and i trade off giving back massages on the ski bus – we time it with stopwatches!
