Make some home improvements

Another one bites the dust.
Painted the front porch!
I probably should call this goal home maintenance. I spend much more time keeping up with what is wearing out then making new improvements. For right now I will keep track of it here.

I started the process of tuck pointing yesterday. I think I had just about as much on the floor as I did on the wall. I will hang in there though :) I will have to get better at it….... I can’t get much worse. ;)

I have now purchased all of the things I will need to start tuck pointing the basement. Onward! :)

Was looking around the home today…. way too many projects fall under this goal. I did manage to go through quite a few drawers. So if I die tomorrow and someone looks past the mess, into the drawers….they will be shaking their heads in awe and wonder.
I also had a carpenter over fixing a botched up roof job. That makes me feel better. Well there is always tomorrow to tackle some more. :)

I am going through drawers today… So many things that I wonder,what was I thinking by keeping this? Well back to work.:)

Well I’ve been pulling out old shrubs all day. There is something wrong with them so it had to be done. I put it off hoping a miracle would happen and they’d recover.
I also started on the hallway wall.We had to take down old plaster and lathe,its all a clean slate now waiting for new drywall.On to the next thing. :)

There are a few things that really need attention around here. So I am sticking this on my list. :) Hopefully like magic they WILL be DONE….. LOL. I will start figuring out a plan to get them done.

I love warm tones! Painted the rooms upstairs a warm earthy tone! The color I choose is very soothing. The color goes very nice with the hardwood floors.

I am in the process of restoring the hardwood floors upstairs. All of my floors in my house are hardwood floors. The floors upstairs where covered with carpet. I pulled up the carpets and got rid of them. Now I am in the process of repairing and refinishing the floors.

I did some painting in the bathroom two weeks ago. I love how it turned out. Next I want to pull up the bathroom floor and have some tile work done.
