So i’m learning how to sew & i’ve done pillows, etc – but now i’m attempting curtains. I have the material, but it’s just sitting there… adn i have the machine out… it too just sits there. So i thought this might motivate me – we’ll see.

The cheapskate inside me has discovered that it can override my crafty self; I can get what I want cheaper at JCPenney, and hem them, than I can if I buy the fabric and make them myself.
sigh
Oh well. At least purchasing them will save some more time at this one, being that I have taken forever to do this, and that now all I will need to do is re-hem rather than measure, cut, sew some giant panels.
Now I just need to find a store that has enough fabric for the sheers I want to make, and in the right color, in stock.
It’s funny, I made this goal before I owned a house. But “sew curtains for my apartment” sounded lame.
Now I own a house, which has a big window right behind the toilet.
And the window is positioned in such a way that, were you to be standing in a certain spot outside, one might be able to see you answering the call of nature, or showering.
So I’m going to buy a curtain rod tonight and install it. Then I will measure the appropriate distance and go purchase fabric, and will then be able to make these.
on the kitchen curtains. I think I will just buy some.
Originally I meant this goal to include knitting the lace curtain for the front door, and finishing Audrey’s curtains. Those things are done, so for now at least I’m calling this one done.
Audrey’s curtains.
Now I guess the next step is curtains for the kitchen.
Blocked and hung up.
Crap, now I’ve decided to sew curtains for my kitchen. So I finished part of this goal, but took a step back anyway.
I have sewn curtains for most of my house already—at least for all the bedrooms. I still need to hem the ones in my eight year old’s room.
I’m also knitting a little lace curtain for the small window on my front door. That’ll be part of this goal too.
