Alex_2009 Writing a book, Well at least im trying to !
I started to paint again and its great !
How I did it: I knew I wanted to begin painting again and it had been about five years since I had sat down and finished a piece. I went to the store one day and bought everything I would need, put on some music and started working. I can't stop!
Lessons & tips: Don't let anything stop you ... even if you think you messed up or a painting is going nowhere ... keep working ... it will become something.

i did a portrait of my boyfriend and his dad when he was little (he passed away) and it was so fun and relaxing to finally do it. it was my first in a few years and i am going to be doing more – SOON! i’m so happy i’ve finally painted again.
so i now have everything i need to paint. perhaps tonight with a nice glass of wine?
i want to paint a picture of my boyfriend and his father when he was young. i have to do this, i have put it off for far too long.
paint yesterday. for the technique i am going to try out, i need a big copier so i am going to go to office max this morning.
i shall report back!
I AM painting something today. it’s a beautiful sunday and although i would typically think of a million other small things that have to get done, i’m going to try to enjoy it. just ate lunch with the family and now i need a nap! ;)
then i will start my painting. yay!
finally bought MORE supplies. i don’t know where my others went…hmm.
this was my list:
-paint…check!
-canvas…check!
-brushes…check!
-palate…check!
just need the photo i’m trying to paint. it’s going to be a portrait. i hope it comes out as lovely as the individual it is for. <3
a friend gave me a new idea on a technique that i am eager to try out. now i just have to get to the art store to buy a canvas large enough…and then look for my sister’s paint & brushes and i’ll be set. i’d like to start doing it in the evenings as a way to relax but still be productive. hope i can do it soon…
mmm, I love art but lately have just been feeling uninspired, untill recently…..

To make my dining room into my studio. I got a swell deal on a studio sized easel off of craigslist that will work perfect for the space. Now I just need to get rid of this old computer & desk that are ominiously hogging one corner of the room. So, this is my first step. Inspiration is digging it’s way out of the rubble of my lost creative heart.
