see Ben Harper live

I saw Harper in 2002 and he was fantastic. A great show.

I saw Ben and the Innocent Criminals live back in november and it was absolutely fantastic. I loved eery minute of it and will definitely go see him again when I get the chance!

He is truly an inspiration to me, both because of his musical talents and because of his ideas and words.

I adore Ben Harper, I own his records and can say with certainty that the man can really sing!
The first time I saw him live was at a Virgin Store in central London, where he was promoting “Diamonds on the Inside”. He signed my CDs, let me take a picture of him and his mates and I even like to think that we had a brief “moment” together (I wish that were true, ha ha!).
His London Astoria gig a few days later was awsome and his singing got me really emotional. It was almost too painful to see him disappear behind the curtains at the end of the show…

I was, however, slightly disappointed when I saw him again a few months later in Brixton Academy. He was acting a bit strange, singing over a fan’s mobile phone etc, and I thought that his performance was not distinctly different to any of the other lives I’d seen in any way. On second thoughts I might have been expecting too much…

Having said that, his latest album really rocks, so given the chance, I’d definitely go see him again. ;o)

So happy. Hes a great peformer live, flawless vocals and his band (the innocent criminals) are great. Great show all up. Cant wait till next time.

!!!!!!!!!!

ben just released a new album and is doing some kind of a promo tour that stopped by montreal last weekend. it was a private, unannounced concert made for industry people, in a smallish venue and.. i won tickets, thanks to my favorite cultural weekly paper.

and even though it was a both-sides-of-the-gun-promo-tour, he started the show by playing ‘another lonely day’ and ‘walk away’ back to back. it was amaaayyyzing.

i got myself VIP tickets when hes coming out to sydney in a couple months. I never thought id actually be able to complete this goal, but, i will! cant wait.

Guess I’ll take this one off for now. I haven’t found anyone who wants to go that lives close enough or can go to the jax or athens show during the weekday. Sadness.

The best concert of my life!! Talk about an amazing show – the music the entertainment and not to mention they came back out twice before they finally finished cause the crowd was going so nuts and I was one row back from the stage. Saw him out in town and he’s great he actually talks to people the whole band do – really friendly down to earth guys. Get this some guy was busking on the street for money with his guitar and ben harper happened to walk past and sat down with him and had a jamming session on the street – made the guy a whole bunch of money and only left when somebody recognized him. You must go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
