Got the first track recorded already, I’m probably planning on a 4 to 5 track demo.
Right now, I am on a little break though, because I need to work on a repertoire :P

this weekend and into next week i’m going to go thru all of my 50+ karaoke cds and pick some songs to bring to a recording studio.

It’s not the same as a demo cd but I don’t have to worry about finding tracks because I can use tracks from already existant songs. I found a bunch of intsrumentals from hit songs, and I’m writing songs to them, both singing and rapping. (I don’t want to be a rapper, but it’s a mixtape so I can have a little fun with it…) AND I’m going to start recording it soon! This weekend actually! I’m recording the first song, which is a smooth rap to Common’s “Come Close” beat (with a little bit of vocals from yours truly as well…). It should turn out pretty good! Hope so, at least…
