    Still not logging my foods. For some reason, it seems too time-consuming and difficult. So I’m just eating light on my own, without worrying very much about the numbers. Since I’m on a quasi raw food diet right now (eating salads, fresh fruit, veggies, drinking water), it’s not likely that I’m over-doing the calories and I’m probably doing okay on nutrition. Still, I should try to log some of this.

    Food logging goal - week of 2/2 10 months ago

    Over the past few weeks, I’ve been following CRON, but I haven’t been logging my meals consistently (so it’s very likely my nutrition has not been very good). This week, my goal is to log my foods every day.

    I think its time I began in the direction of this goal.
    It has been sitting at the top of my list for a long time but I’ve done nothing about it and here’s why (in a nutshell).
    I’m a bit overweight. I don’t want this to be about weight loss but about eating healthfully. But my initial period of cron is going to be about slowly bringing my calorie consumption to within recommended ranges over a long period of time, before even looking at reduction, and improving the nutritional content of my food. Also, I tend to eat poorly, so I’m going to be working on introducing healthy foods slowly, and some of my ‘what I ate lists’ will probably include pretty heinous slipups for a long time – I have a lot of habits to turn over.
    So, I’ve avoided this goal for the longest time because it will take me a long time to get to the point where I’m engaged in it to a respectable degree, but I think its all the more reason to start it NOW, with slow incremental steps towards more healthful eating. I have “Beyond the 120 year diet” as a rough idea, need to find more info. Any suggestions?

    It's been off and on 21 months ago

    90% of the time, I stick with my calorie allocation, but occasionally I have a very ‘bad day.’ I had one on Sunday (cookies were involved). I’ve been very hungry lately. This is unusual for me. I’m looking forward to the end of winter – I think the winter blues cause me to get peckish and eat more than I would normally.

    Logging foods 23 months ago

    I’ve been faithfully logging foods every day since December 1, which means I’m able to generate reports that fairly accurately reflect my daily intake. I’m striving for an average of 1250 calories a day in order to loose some extra weight and my average is just under that number. At the end of this month, I’ll be raising my intake slightly for weight maintenance.

    New Year Resolution #1 23 months ago

    Practice CRON, Calorie Reduction Optimal Nutrition through the year, keeping a daily log of my food intake/nutrition and optimizing my nutrition. Also, avoiding processed foods and sugar. I’ve already been practising CRON since December 1st (that’s when I started my food log on CoM).

    I’m an athlete and I am still able to practice CRON to a moderate degree.

    I eat a ton of veggies, some meat/egg/chicken/fish, some fruit, tea, oat bran, yogurt, and treats like chocolate.

    I also bake MegaMuffins, baked savory or sweet squares which are good snacks to take with me when I might otherwise be tempted by an energy bar.
