Detour: Grand Canyon

I did this with my now ex back in 2000. It was really wonderful.
There is a movie called “Grand Canyon” which I recently rented. It is a thinking person’s movie.

When I was moving from Texas to the west coast I made a special detour so I could see the Grand Canyon. I couldn’t stay long but I drove along the South rim and got out at a few of the lookouts. It’s an amazing place. Just as I was about to exit the park I saw my first elk too!
I want to go back some day and camp. Maybe next year…
