a los 9 años era lo q mas amaba en el mundo, subirme a mis rollers amarillos y patinar con el viento en mi cara… y ahora me encanta hacerlo con mi hermanito
How to roller skate
How I did it: Researched different brands of skates online.
Ordered a pair of skates from justskates.com.
Within two days I was getting the feel of skating again and can skate comfortably now.
Lessons & tips: Don't worry if you can't stand sturdily on skates at first. Just remember to bend your knees as you stand and skate. Sway your arms like you're walking to help keep your balance as you skate. Start indoors with small distances. Practice stopping before you skate outside. Get the feel of skating on different surfaces. If your muscles are completely unused to skating, start in small increments. I did 5 minutes the first day, then I was able to do 45 minutes the second day.

etherealessence is such a lucky girl!
I remember being a young kid in the 80’s when roller skating was still in. I went to Kinder-Care during the summers since my parents worked, and the staff always took us to the roller rink for our activity! I LOVED it :D I also got to eat my very first Wendy’s french fry and it was the best; that’s pretty random! Oh, and those bubble gum cigars were pretty popular too, but my mom never let me have one, LOL!
Last summer I bought roller skates and went skating a few times. I spent forever trying to decide what skates to buy online and probably spent way too much on them considering i’m not very good. It is fun, though. I haven’t used them yet this year but I definately plan on it. Hopefully I will get better with practice :)
find a skating rink in your area, see if there’s lessons, and go skatin! it’s so fun! if you can find an adult night, then go to that regularly and talk to the “regulars” you can learn lots of awesome stuff. depending on your goals, you might try a speed skating class as well…!!
