I hope someday i go to U.S.A.
and do that trip, i think it must be awesome, an experience that never one forget and i think the people certainly stay more independent and fell one different spirit of life – happiness, freedom, discovering.. it’s not normal like when we are in the city, work everydays and stuff like that.
The survival, the photos, the memories, the persons.. everything
day and night, all days find a new thing a new place..
It must be hard live the friends, the things that we like in the “other life” but i suppose it was a great adventure to enjoy.
I saw a movie, it’s a little bit similar with this theme.. i advice everyone to see him – here is “Into The Wild” – I think is great, and the music of the movie.. it is very powerfull too.
A.C.R.O.S.S. THE U.S.A. !

My psych professor was talking last night about how he did this about 20 years ago, and what it was like for him and I was blown away by the beauty of what he was saying. I so need to save so I can do this this summer. It’s just one of those things I’ll regret not doing, you know?

My husband and I have been married 19 years and had been planning this trip since the time we married. Finally after 15 years and two kids later, we did it! It was well worth it! We started in NC then on to St. Louis and saw the Arch. Cool. The trip took across Missouri, Kansas, Colorado (visit the Sand Dunes and Pike’s Peak!), Arizona (Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam), Nevada, California (Coastal Hwy). Had a break down in Cresent City and everyone was very helpful! Then on into Orgeon (up the coast to Coos Bay and then inland into Washington (Mt. St. Helen’s). That was something that was important for me to see, I was in high school when it blew up and have always been fasinated by it. I wasn’t disappointed. We had another break down in Washington, this one was not so pleasant (money, it was an expensive repair, fuel pump), but everyone was great. After that it was pretty much straight back home. There were a few stops along the way. If you go through South Dakota stop at Wall Drug! It is an amazing place, great food! Don’t worry about a map to get there you will see huge signs everywhere! They have free ice water! We are ready to go again when the gas prices and our finances coporate! This time I would like to do on a motorcycle though. Everyone should do this to see the great nation that we live in. Oh Yeah! Stay in Cameron Arizona. Beautiful place.

the longest roadtrip I’ve been on is from Virginia to Iowa but I’d like to go all the way across the U.S.

I made this trip with a friend from college. We went to a baseball game in St. Louis, chilled in colorado mountain ranges, hiked the Grand Canyon, drove through the desert with the top down, listened to a lot of grateful dead, jimi hendrix and neil young, and overall had a blast.
I would do it again.

this might be more do-able if my car hadn’t just died… ah well, that’s what I get for having a car that’s nearly as old as I am…
So, this goal will be put on one of the furthest back burners for the time being. =/

I just saw something about a new book about the Lincoln Highway called, appropriately enough, The Lincoln Highway. This is what I want to do: drive one of these old highways, stopping at all the interesting spots along the way.
