AaminahRaks is very easily distracted...mostly by shiny things!
Our city just had its first ever Zombie Walk and it had a really big turnout. We walked about 8 or 9 blocks down to the movie theater and they had a free movie (th original Night of the Living Dead) and a lot of the businesses participated by giving “zombies” discounts on various things.
Too much fun to pass up! and there will be another one next year! yay!

I’m really into zombies, so are my friends so we decided it’s high time to participate in a zombie walk. We had great fun. I enjoyed preparing make up and outfit. Attacking people was also cool. I realised that I’m an attention whore as I was posing each time I saw a camera ;) It was an amazing experience.
Shots from zombie walk constitute last scene of my zombie movie. We’re shooting the rest of the movie next week.
Here’s a photo of me (pink shirt) and my friend:

Well, I missed last year’s in Monroeville to go to a Who concert. Worth it, but I still missed going to the zombie walk. But this year I AM going to the Monroeville walk. I need to start planning it (I like to plan things way ahead of time, clearly).

Oops – I forgot to re-post on this event…
There were hundreds of people participating: young zombies, old zombies, cute zombies, gross zombies, ballerina zombies, doctor & nurse zombies, superhero zombies, construction worker zombies, geisha zombies, cowboy zombies, fairy zombies, cheerleader zombies, rocker zombies, wedding party zombies, beach bum zombies, burlesque zombies, hippy zombies, schoolgirl zombies, zombies in love… just about anything you can think of had a zombie version there. Some people had gone all out too.
Highlights included: zombies freshening up in the fountain, a zombie mob attack on a double decker tour bus (it was hilarious watching the tourists react), a robot protest, the eating of brains, “fishing for the undead” with severed limbs tied to a stick above the crowd, and then there was Isak’s tantrum at the end – not because he was scared, but because he didn’t want to leave. I explained this to the concerned bike cop that pulled over, but she didn’t believe me until Isak started screaming “that way! that way!” and waving his little arms towards the lurching zombie hoi polloi. We’ll do it again. Next year we’ll drag daddy along too.
I think it would be fun to organize a mass blood donation directly afterwards.

That was SO fun!! I have more photos to share and zombie tales to tell, but I have to go wash the blood of the undead out of my bodice.

I really, really want to go to this. Good wholesome fun for the whole family, as well as excellent entertainment value in watching the responses of people who have no clue what the hell is going on.

Is there a site than I can go to that tells me where one will be held?
Now it’s a matter of convincing The Boy to come with. .
