asp3You don't really have to leave home to do this
I’ve had some wonderful vacations and the ones that come to mind most are the ones where I’ve travelled to new and exciting places. However I’ve also had times when money was low and I couldn’t afford to do much. Even in those times I was able to have a real vacation.
I’ve just taken off a few days and indulged myself. Sometimes the indulgence has been towards rest, relaxation and self gratification. Other times it’s been a working vacation where I was able to get something done I wanted to finish but couldn’t without removing myself from my normal life.
For me a real vacation can even last just a few hours. I was down in Anaheim for a conference a week ago, but at times it felt like I was on vacation. I walked around a lot between the sessions when I had to be in our expo booth. I let myself be a tourist and just enjoyed the different environment.
I think a real vacation is one where you are able to let go of your normal life and worries and just enjoy yourself. 4 years ago
