Twenty push-ups? Are these weighted? As a base exercise I do 3 sets of 20 pushups and 2 sets of 25 sit-ups; each night. The push until you shake is good advice however, I’ve gone from 35 max to 50 max in a matter of days.
How to be able to do 20 push-ups in a row
How I did it: Exercise every day for at least an hour. I do bench press'es with around 80kg and rep until until I max. This way, it builds the pecs, tricep and biceps, so press ups are easy.
Lessons & tips: Just keep at it. Push until you shake and cannot lift any further.

for me i want to be able to do at least 40 pressups in a minute…at the moment i can do around 10 at a very good pace…slowly lifting dumbells at home..im wanting to join teh armed forces here in ireland next summer so ive got allot of time to get fit and apply

I am doing Cheerleading for school this year. We have to do 100 pushups. I can hardly do 10 in a row but I can if I work at it.
Instead of doing 10 a set I wanna go faster and do 20 a set. So I well work on this.
I did 15 last night with no breaks! My mother and I have a competition going to see who can make it to 20 without stopping, at a decent slow and steady pace. So far, it seems like I’m in the lead. 15 to 12… yesss!

This goal is achieved, so I’ll switch to my ‘core muscles’ goal and continue doing pushups as part of that.

I’m really proud of myself… tonight I finally did a set of 20, and after a few seconds rest, another set of 10.
This is great! I want to keep going. I think this is good for my wimpy back and spaghetti arms. But after the 15th pushup in a row, it got a bit stressful on my wrists…
So I’m going to go for 3 sets of 15 as my next pushup goal – but I’m not in a rush to get there because I also need to start working on my tummy again.
Have been somewhat lazy lately.
