How I did it: I got a job and saved anywhere from $50 to $100 per paycheck for about 7 months. It was hard saving that much from a $200 paycheck when I had to pay car insurance, gas, phone bill, etc., but I eventually did it. I got it tax free weekend with a free iPod touch that I gave to my sister. We ended up saving 100 dollars in taxes and then about 300 dollars from the iPod. Good deal, huh?

Lessons & tips: Get a job! Save money! Even if it's not a lot.

    Almost! 2 weeks ago

    I just signed the lease contract for a new MacBook Pro 13,3” and can’t wait to bring it home. Still have to wait for a week or so for the delivery, but that’s nothing compared to the years I’ve waited for this goal to come true so far.

    Of course, technically, I haven’t reached the goal of owning a mac if I rent one, but it’s close enough :)

    Yesterday my MacBook came in the mail, and I couldn’t be happier! Now it’s just a matter of paying the monthly bill for it. Hopefully Santa will pull through for me.

    Macs are the best computers on the planet. The physical computers are well designed, but the real greatness lies in the OS. The Mac OS has always been the best, and it still is. Every time I have to use a PC, I get lost and think, “now, how do I do that?” every three minutes or so.
