own a gun

rethinking this one. I can be irrational at times. And impulsive. Bad combo, but I still want one. I am a responsible adult.

Just because I would like to see what it’s like to go to the range, extra security and because nowawadays it’s hard to obtain one in northern California.

I just bought my Glock 19 last night! I love it!

Gonna check out the shops this week!

Well, I don’t currently own a gun, but I would like to. Perhaps a quality sidearm or a shotgun? I’m not sure.

I’d like to be able to go to the range and just hit a few targets. Having the gun at home is just a little added protection.

The second I was legally able to own one, I bought one and have collected several since. Recreation, defense and sport.

Regardless of your reasoning for owning one, the appropriate education is a requirement (whether you’re required by law to take a course or not):

Basic safety and security course prior-to or immediately after purchase for any reason.

Hunting safely, effectively and in a sportsman-like manner is important.

Defense is a LONG process because you should not only be familiar with the arm, weapon retention, and basic combat skills…but also the law, your rights, and the rights of the assailant. Here it is illegal to seriously injure or kill someone—period. However, there is “judicious use of deadly force” and it is your “not guilty” defense plea in court. Confused yet?

All-in-all, it’s a very rewarding experience.

firearms are not only helpful in self-defense, but they can be a lot of fun for recreational purposes as well. i love going to the shooting range and trying out the different guns. it’s therapeutic in a way. i want to own several guns, but my goal is to have a .40 glock and a carrying permit by the end of this year since i just turned 21 and can have one now. =]

but I have to take saftey classes and all that shit. Funny thing is that we live in a rich ass neighborhood and the opertunity for home self defense is about 0…but I went shooting with these guys once and they just handed me a gun and said “have at it” after a few hours, couple beers and a whole lot of exploaded coke cans later I was hooked. Love those rednecks!!!!! We just hung out on this guy’s porch and shot off across this river and at hunderds of expired coke cans. LOL! If my parents ever found out…..i met the guy in drivers ED…so yeah, going to accomplish this goal and spend my weekends shooting stuff. Sounds like a good mature idea, eh?

After ive pissed in the ear of the unsuspecting elephant, i would like to braps that shit up with my gat…. probably an AK.
