I’m 44, have a 3 1/2 year old son and want to be around when he graduates. Also taking care of two elderly parents, working two jobs and not managing stress well. Thus, I am recommitting to the goal of losing a sustainable amount of weight and doing so by eating healthier.
Perhaps networking with others who are doing this will help. At least that’s my hope….

txdiva is in a state of confusion
I’ve been eating smaller meals and more vegetables than normal. I really need to buy more fruit to snack on. The problem with fruit is that I usually forget that I bought it and it goes bad. I really need to go walking, but it’s too damn cold out there! I’ll have to blow the dust off the treadmill and start walking.

I guess this “goal” will be ongoing. But for now I feel I’ve reached it by making some incremental changes—taking walks several times a week at work, making better lunch and dinner choices, buying more fruits and vegetables.

I took two powerwalks—if I do one more tomorrow that makes three. I also bought two books on cooking healthy for my family which I’ll read this summer.

I ordered some books on nutrition and healthy cooking from Amazon. The last several nights I’ve concentrated on making healthy evening meals for my family. I still need to figure out how to get my child on the right track

Well since the price of smokeing has gone up since the new year it would help me out in more ways than one to quite…and I was able to go without smokeing for 4 whole days which I could barely beleive I did. But today I fell a bit I did buy a pack of the cheapest smokes I could find but I am not smokeing them as fast as I would have just a little while ago. So I am on my way it’s just painful and I guess i will not be able to simply go cold turkey but that’s okay I will just simply have to step down off of them…one way or another I’m gonna quit.

I just started reading a book my dad handed down to me, entitled The Great Tao. It’s a 500 page book encompassing an overview of the chinese Tao practice. It goes over healthy diets, breathing and message healing exercises, philosophy, sexual mastery and much more. Overall, I’ve found some incredible knowledge that this books claims has existed and been used for over 6,000 years.
