How I did it: I got a flyer in the mail after New Years and straight away I knew it was the best gym in town because it was the closest, cheapest and it was brand new too. Read how I did it…
How I did it: My success is a big thanks to my colleague who gave me free gym passes for Virgin Active for 1.5 months! After that I just couldn't stand any week without gym exercise. Then I join Fitness First which happens to have branches a few doors away from office and close to home. :)Once it gets into a habit, gym exercise really makes me more fit and happy :) Read how I did it…
Schuylerwarren i'm back! & so excited to be here! :)
How I did it: I did some research on gyms in my city, and decided to go down to see each gym physically. I ended up choosing Pure Fitness because it is not that expensive, and they have plenty locations in my state. Plus, I am moving soon, and they have a location right next to my future house. :)I am so excited! hehe Read how I did it…

How I did it: It was time and the excuses ran out. No more will I be out of shape. The looks and stares from the body nazis don't matter. I'm not here to impress anybody - I'm here to get my life back Read how I did it…
How I did it: It took a long time to join a gym this time around for a couple of reasons. I was a gym rat a few years ago and am now in terribly bad shape after four years of sedentary living, so it was daunting to start up again. It also took a lot longer to relocate for my job than I anticipated. After the move and after I conquered inertia and embarrassment, I finally joined. I now regret waiting so long, since I can already see and feel … Read how I did it…

Just kidding, I went down to join the gym but all the consultants had gone home so I have to go back tomorrow.
I’ve decided to join just for 3 months because I remembered that they have a free gym on campus at the university I’m hoping to get into to it’d be silly to pay for a year.
I have never ever stepped inside a gym before so my God was I scared. I went with a friend who was meant to be joining also but then as soon as we got inside said to the employees that she wasn’t (she later told me she knew that she’d never use it). A young man called ‘Bertie’ (I seriously didn’t even know that name existed anymore) came and spoke to me and showed me around the gym, they’ve got some pretty good equipment and I’m quite interested in some of the classes.
They’re also running a deal at the moment where you get 12 months for £26 a month (usually £40) and 3 months for £37 (Usually £48). They also have something called BodyFirst where you get 3 free personal training sessions but then you’re tied up witha 12 month contract.
I need to have a think about how committed to this I’m going to be…

i know i shouldnt make excuses, but my laptop died and i needed to buy another one for uni- so i had to put my gym money onto my laptop fund. and now im broke. this one will have to go on the backburner. however, tomorrow i might buy new headphones for my ipod and start walking around the reserve thats only a 15min walk away from my house. Baby steps, right?
Some friends of mine tell me not to join a gym because then, when i stop it, i will have health problems….
Is that rue? Pls someone answer me!
Last month i went to the doctor and she said to me that i had to do some exams first to see if everything was ok because i used to have some serious problems in the past….
Then she was going to give me the paper that the gym wanted to have, in order to let me join in. But i am not sure if my dad or mum will pay for it(i’m 14 years old) cause they never pay anything for me and they let me pay anything that has to do about me on my own….
I guess i have to find money to pay my exams and gym, too….
But how? I tried to convince my mom to have me take a job but she want listen to me….If you have any ideas, pls help me.
Thanks
Not a one step in that. I did’nt find time yet to look for a gym that is oky with my schedule.
I’m going to join this week! I have someone to come along with me so hopefully it’ll turn out to be fun!

i will. they have a gym at my uni… a lil expensive, well not really but on my budget anything over the price of a cup of coffee is expensive! But, as i sat there stuffing my face with junk food i decided it would be a good idea even though i detest sports and exercise. plus, some of my friends have already joined. now i just need people to hold me accountabe to 1) joining! and 2) going! lol
