This is happening soooo slowly.
But I have discovered asparagus. Asparagus is good. Who knew? Who knew that a green thing could be as good as a potato chip? But it is. It’s magic. Corn is good. So is chicken, kumara and corn soup. As is home made tomato salsa, for times when people want to force chips down your throat.
Running is good too. Can run for 20min now without pain, speed up to 9.6-9.9kph. Fluid movement is beautiful.
Got up at 4.30am to go to the gym. There is an explanation as to why it has to be so early. But I did it, and worked out for an hour. I am sooooo tired. It’s going to take a while to get the morning gym routine down though, ended up arriving at work sans makeup.

Really amazing and encouraging. Especially to see the photos as she went down in size, and that she is about my age.
To go to the gym, I may have to get up at 4.30 in the morning if I’m unable to go at night. This is going to be a big ask. Also the gym is busy in the morning.
For almost the first time (I don’t really count uni). Here’s hoping I become a gym bunny instead of letting my membership go to waste. It’ll give me something to do and mean that I am around people more, even if I’m not interacting with them. Plus it has a spa and sauna; ohhh heaven!
Mon: Run/walk 20min, weights 10min in the morning. At night, run 20min and walk 10min, weights 15min.
Tue: Run/walk 20min, weights 10min in morning. Night, walk with a bit of running 20min. 10min weights. But really didn’t feel too good. Did 100 sit ups!
Wed: Weights 10min in morning. Still feel queasy. Body really sore now but it’s hard to take it easy when you want to lose weight so bad. Will walk to Portuguese class tonight which takes forever and ever.
Mon 28/08:
Run/walk for 10min – motivated by new pants I bought. Looking at some heavier weights, but they’ll have to wait for next week. But the old stomach definitly needs some work.
Tue 29/08 Run 20min/walk 30min, 10min of weights.
Wed 30/08 AM: Run/wlk 15min PM: Walk 1 1/2hrs
Thu 31/08 AM: Run/wlk 20min, w 10min PM: -
Fri 01/08 Nothing
Sat 02/08 PM: w 15min
These were not a good idea as they were essentially covered in sugar and I ate the whole little packet. So much for avoiding cakes at the bakery. But I did discover that grated carrot will keep in the fridge better than unmutilated carrot.
Need to remind myself to eat every three hours (not every hour because I’m bored) and stay away from the cookie jar at work. This will be hard because there are some especially yummy choc chip ones in there at the moment.
