I've been dispensing some eclectic materials at kiosks and cafes 14 months ago

most recently I plied a young woman with the idea of “MISC. REFERENCE NOTES” or “MISC NOTES”, including a variety of secret-seeming material such as the following:

4 Means for Schizophrenic Advantage: (1) Coherence in understanding, or means of systemitizing material as a ground for confidence or dynamic approach (2) Talking about talking, a technique that appears normal and is very accessible (3) Getting results, something that in principle implies individual potency, and via principle may determine more greatly a degree of certainty or grounding in the real than to determine precisely what is believed, or what actions taken (4) Art or other means to limn feeling, creating an image of a world of life that may be believed even when the world is dead to feeling, or incoherent to intellectual sense

4 Categories of Mirth: (1) Laughter (e.g. flagrant enjoyment in spite)(2) Merriment [e.g. a stomach murmur] (3) Superiority (e.g. unconquerable excuberant certainty)(4) Inhesis [poetic ‘mastery-by-determination’, otherwise defined as inherant knowledge, intuition, understanding, apprehension, insight, deconstruction, depth perception, subtle awareness, metaphorical progenesis, correspondant archetype-state, identity soul-concept identification, philosophical determination of nature, iterative ontological deductive reasoning of the attributive forma, concept-nature identification, self-conscious loop of identification as compared to self-knowledge, or something else less certain]

or a Beggar, Rich Man, King distinction on the idea of extravagence and how it is won

Beer, Blood and Cornmeal 17 months ago

A writer friend of mine, Bob Calhoun, will be reading at Cody’s Books on June 30th. (Scroll down to the bottom of the page!) I haven’t read the book yet, so I’ll be buying a copy of it and making sure he autographs it with something bizzarre, as I plan to make it an interesting addition to my collection.

I’m looking at the upcoming schedule for this and there are some authors I’d really like to see this summer. Neal Pollack! OMG!

Its been a long time 2 years ago

since I’ve done any of this. There are events, plenty in New York I’m sure, that I avoid attending.

There are sometimes writing groups that I don’t enjoy. There are cafes where I can read, although they are not the best kind.

Sometimes I wonder if it is always literary even to be an author. I can’t say that I am looking precisely for a conglomeration of publishing relationships, memos and momentoes, and the smell of paper.

There are times when sitting with a project is fulfilling. It doesn’t happen as often as I would like. However, as difficult as it is to find a suitable experience, equally it is difficult to become a writer.

As unforgiving and misgiven the writer’s experience, I am making steps. Quietly I am learning it is an intended path, but not ideal.

I had a bad day. I’m promising myself to get Lemony Snicket out of my head as soon as possible.

is obviously stalled. When I wrote it I was partly hoping to have book signings. Now I haven’t even bothered to look around the city for standard local events.

    Litquake 3 years ago

Litquake begins next Friday! I’m debating buying tickets to opening night. This is really something that I would like attend with a friend or date in tow, but I am too poor to purchase multiple tickets at the moment. Maybe I will ask around and see if I can spark some interest. I am very excited about some of the authors involved in the Lit Crawl, which occurs after the festival.
