Okay…I am the stereotypical female who has lousy driving skills when it comes to any type of finesse. Learned to BARELY parallel park in my teens, just to pass my driver’s test, and have avoided it ever since. Living in cities where parallel parking was rarely necessary, I have been able to simply park in an easy location and walk a little further.
Time has come to learn how to do this skill with confidence. Just need to find a willing teacher to endure my “challenges”.
Strongly suggest any Vegas drivers to beware. LOL

It’s the first thing tested in my area for a license, and it’s the first thing I fail, causing me to fail the test. I’ve been practising, but when push comes to shove and I’m nervous as all hell during the test, all knowledge and skill goes out the window and I’m a deer in the headlights.
Gotta keep moving, though :)
(and stop failing drivers’ tests…)

This one worries me… I’ve driven the same car for just over eight years now and I still only have a minimal sense of how long the front and back ends are.
I think I need to go borrow some traffic cones from the construction up the street and practice, or something!

Learn to park my expensive car fast and confident. Not just the easy option in those triple empty parking space, but without doubts in a crowded parking lot.

ok, attempt 2 at parallel parking was made yesterday…less successful than attempt 1, but i made it! of course, this morning i forgot about it and automatically walked to the far parking lot, where i always end up parking because i can’t parallel, only to realize when i got there that my car was actually right out on the street by my door…sweet. oh well..

I don’t know if i can get it on the first try anymore, but I passed my road test months ago. So I’ve come to realize: “Who cares anymore?”
[Until I move to a place where it is necessary, I’m currently good enough.]

Because when you’re downtown, a loooot of the people down there are too scared or impatient to try it. and you get an awesome spot. right there.
Try learning to parallel park in a standard shift up hill!!! It’s intimidating but educational.

I have been driving for many years, but never learned how to do this. I grew up in a small town, so it wasn’t even an option. Now, I would like to go into the city and other congested areas by myself and I can’t, because it is so hard to park without this skill.
