How to swim at least once a week
How I did it: I joined the athletic centre at my university. because it's so convenient, I can swim before or after my classes or work— most days I have to go there anyway.
I also got myself a little shower kit with mini shampoo and conditioner, body wash.. somewhat unnecessary but it definitely upped the convenience factor.
Best of all, I found a friend in one of my classes who wants to swim more too, so we've been going together.
I don't have the best swimming technique, but I just do what feels right and push myself when I feel like it.
Lessons & tips:
- find a pool with convenient hours, that is close to home or somewhere you have to go frequently (work, school)
- make sure you have the things you need— get a locker at the gym for your towel, flip flops, toiletries, etc.
- even if you only go for a short time, it's better to go anyway rather than break your routine.

today I am going to the pool after class with one of my classmates. excited!
I also swam two days ago, on sunday morning. four for four weeks!
yesterday’s visit marked my third week in a row— and it felt really good. I’m also in the habit of a little jog first, which I’m confident I can keep up! and, I didn’t even feel sore this morning like I usually have after swimming.
I got a metropass for november which makes it easier to go to the gym/pool even on days I don’t have class.
I went to the gym on sunday, and also the previous thursday. maybe I will go today!
Week 1, and god willing, I’ll be good to go for the rest of the year. Thank god for heated pools!!!
With today’s lovely swim (well it was somewhat crowded at times, but I’m just too happy I’ve worked out) I finished my swim pass well before deadline ! Next thing up: twice a week
Had a good swim again today, first time in 10 days… Last week I’ve been slacking on just about every single one of my goals, this week I’m doing wayyy better again:)

This morning was my 2nd swim of the year “already”! I’ve also committed to a new challenge which will give a new meaning to at least once:)
swim during lunchtime today – I’m very glad I’ve done this, it felt good too! If this goes well I might as well set the deadline a little more challenging:)
Side effect of the swim: it positively affects my posture! I was sitting upright afterwards, and it felt natural too.
