Well worth the effort! 2 years ago

My name is Robert, and I stopped playing the cello when I finished high school. Went off to college and got my degree in science, but what was really nagging at me was my cello, patiently waiting for me in the corner of my room.

So after I graduated with my B.S. in C.M.B., I dusted off the old “kiste” and started playing, and it was simply the most wonderful feeling to be playing again! I haven’t looked back ever since, and I am so glad that my cello had such a strong voice within me.

I started playing the cello when i was 10 years old. I played the whole way through high school. I loved it, anytime there was something wrong I would hide and play. This will be my next goal. i’ve never found a better way to relieve stress.

Adrienne will be absent while taking strides for goal #1.

    When I was 14, I learned 4 years ago

I took cello lessons when I was 14. I stopped going into high school. I had my grandmother’s cello. She took it back after I stopped playing. I was going to take lessons in college, since the University I attended had a wonderful music school and one could take instrument lessons, but I never brought the cello with me.

Just before Thanksgiving, she gave it back to me. I got it out and played the first lesson. It is out of tune and I am terrible at tuning. I used to tune it to our piano, but my husband and I don’t have a piano and it does not tune well to guitar :)

The plan for now: take it to someone to have a look over it, get it in tune, and take care of the neck where hand movement has removed all the varnish.
